At 120 meters below sea level is the thermal mineral springs of Zarqa Ma'in (Hammamat Ma’in in Arabic). According to usual standards, a spring is rated as mineral if the total portion of its dissolved salts are not less than 1,000 per million, while those at Zarqa Ma´in springs tested at 2,000 per million.
