| Royal Jordanian is the national carrier. It has direct flights from Amman and many destinations throughout Europe, the Middle East, North America and other major destinations in the world. Queen Alia International Airport: is 32km southeast of the capital, to which it is connected by a good highway (travel time - approximately 40 minutes). There is a regular bus service to Amman every 30 minutes (travel time - approximately 50 minutes), and taxis are also available. Facilities include 24-hour duty-free shops and coffee shops, bank/bureau de change, and car hire. Marka Airport / Aqaba Airport: provides regularly scheduled and chartered air transport. | |

Good and comfortable road networks connect Jordan and neighbouring countries. Jordan / Israel and the PNA Territories There is one direct crossing between Jordan and the Israeli occupied West Bank. | |

| The only port in Jordan is Aqaba. Other than the car ferry to Nuweibeh, there is a weekly passenger service to, Sharm, Suez and Jeddah. Jordan/Egypt Travelers can cross between Aqaba and the Egyptian port of Nuweibeh by a ferry. Service runs daily leaving Aqaba to Nuweibeh in the afternoon. The one way trip takes around 3 and half hours. Speed boats are also available which cost more but take less time (1 hour). | |

| The Hijaz Railway train operates on the old Ottoman track that was built by the Ottomans at the beginning of the century. It runs between Amman and Damascus once a week (Monday) leaving Amman at 08:00 and arriving Damascus at 17:00. From Damascus to Amman, it leaves on Sunday at 07:30 and arrives Amman at 17:00. | |
